"Good day, Officer. Is that a spear you got there or are you just happy to see me?"

Cardinal and Roariadoc, who I've wanted to draw for ages. Card's my spitfire of a Hobbit Burglar from Lord of the Rings Online, and Roary's her easily flustered Warden beau. In the story-in-my-head-that-may-someday-be-written, Cardinal leaves the Shire and her Proudfoot name behind when she is saved from brigands by an Elf with amnesia named Galdathor (my game buddy from Chicago) and embarks with him on a quest to find his past. They meet up with Roary here in Bree. He's a city Hobbit, born in the nearby Hobbit suburb of Staddle, and is a member of Bree watch, which he takes very seriously. I picture him a little like Carrot from Discworld in his dedication to justice and keeping his city safe (though he's not nearly so oblivious as Carrot in his interactions with people). Honestly, I don't have the story figured out much farther than that, other than "He comes along, they all have grand adventures and somewhere along the line the two fall in love." I just wanted to draw them because they are so ridiculously cute.

Right now, I think Cardinal's probably just trying to bum some pipeweed off him. She's like that.

I'm proud of their faces and their outfits, which were lifted right from the game. I am not so proud of their hands, which I could never seem to get right, and the pen I had was NOT a good inker, some of those lines are awful. Also, I don't think either of them is short or chubby enough, but I gave it a valiant effort.
